| Review: | M.D.s with Attitudes Gregory House, M.D. is as brilliant as he is bitter. He has to be -- it's the only way he can get away with being himself at work. While it's basically a drama, I enjoy Hugh Laurie's presentation so much it feels like a comedy sometimes. The show is about him -- the plots are only devices to add action, and they're repetitive, only not in a bad way. As for the characters, House even admits in the pilot that he hired Dr. Cameron to pretty up the place. Her character has had a little attention paid to it, Drs. Foreman and Wilson a little less, and Dr. Chase ... well, I had to look him up on www.housemd-guide.com to remember anything significant about him. No, it's about House himself, and it's usually a good way to spend some time Tuesday night. |
