Review: Violence, Sex, & A Little Rock & Roll
The Sheild transends other cop shows by shaing up the premis that the cops are the good guys and the criminals are bad. Sometimes the difference is gray and other times some cops are indeed criminal....The genius of the show though is that no matter how nasty Vic Macky (The primary cop) gets the stories always come back to him actually being a good cop, but doing whatever it takes to get results...And we want him to win. This last season he had IAD just dogging him as much as any street con, and everyone saw the IAD cop who was actually doing all he could to bring down a corrupt cop as the real bad cop. When in reality we would hope like hell they would find and bring down a cop who steals, deals, and murders both bad guys and even a cop. Very good writing and directing by a host of different directors....
